E-signature & acceptance
Collect legally-binding typed or drawn signatures directly on the share page.
E-signature & acceptance
How recipients sign
On the public share page, each recipient sees an Accept & sign button. They can:
- Type their full name (renders in a signature font)
- Draw a signature with mouse / touch
On submit Kudu captures:
- Signature image (SVG for drawn, rendered image for typed)
- Full name & email
- IP address + user agent
- Timestamp (UTC)
- SHA-256 hash of the proposal content at the moment of signing
Multiple recipients
When a proposal has multiple recipients, each signs independently. The proposal moves to Accepted only when all required recipients have signed.
Declining
Recipients can decline with an optional reason. This fires the proposal.declined webhook and appears in the timeline.
Legal weight
Typed and drawn signatures collected through Kudu meet the requirements for electronic signatures under ESIGN (US), eIDAS (EU), and ECT Act (ZA). The signed PDF plus audit trail (IP, timestamp, content hash) forms the evidentiary record.
Downloading the signed PDF
Once accepted, both parties can download the fully-signed PDF from the share page β the signature block, timestamp, and IP are stamped onto the last page.
